Jay Kaplan, Director 2002-2004, and councilperson since 2004.  Staff Attorney for ACLU of Michigan's GLBT Legal Project, member of the Board for Michigan AIDS Fund.  Worked as staff attorney for Michigan Protection and Advocacy Service for 13 years- founded HIV/AIDS Legal Advocacy Program there.  Worked for legal services, specializing in housing law.  Graduate of Wayne State Law School. 
Mel McClure, Councilperson since 2003. Intersex educator, student at Lansing Community College, active in the lgbTI community including volunteering at the LAHR hotline.  "As an intersexed individual I am trying to educate others on what intersex is and what it means to me."

Billie H. Henning, Councilperson since 2004.  Retired from Macomb Community College after 39 years of teaching speech and broadcasting. Co-author of six books and various articles on local transportation. Founding member of the Michigan Transit Museum
Sabrina J. Arbour  Director since 2005 and is a thirty-something wife and mother who resides in Alpena. She lives with her husband and their many cats.
Sabby has a vast history of fundraising and volunteering. She has
been on the executive board of a non-profit organization and she is an AmeriCorps Alumni. She hopes to work with TransGender Michigan to help end inequality.

Jolene Gillies, Directore since 2006, Ph.D. student in psychology studying at Walden University online. Jolene has a
Masters degree in social work and is licensed by the state of Michigan.  Jolene lives  with her supportive partner Julie.  They have one dog and 9 cats.
Tori-Lynn Prevost is from Alpena Michigan. She's 38, has a wife and three lovely daughters. Tori joined the Board of Directors in early 2006. Since coming to terms with and accepting herself as being transgender she has sought to advocate for all transfolk in what ever way possible. Tori is a firm believer in the TransGender Michigan mission statement and believes that the key to understanding and acceptance of all people is to eradicate ignorance. You cannot fear something if you understand it. Because TransGender Michigan is committed to education and fighting for acceptance of all, She is compelled to fight along side the others who have taken up the torch in seeking that better future for all
