Through education, support, and advocacy, TransGender Michigan strives to transform Michigan into a state where transgender individuals, and their significant others, friends, and families, can live free of hate, violence and discrimination. Riot Youth plans events such as LGBT movie night, Queer Prom, gender bender party and also hosts Queer Space. Queer Space is a chance for LGBT and ally teens to socialize and network. Queer Space is also on SATURDAYS from 4-6pm, the opposite weeks of Riot Youth. Riot Youth is teen driven; all projects are created and implemented by the teens. Perceptions Creates New Group for Transgenders
Perceptions Saginaw Valley is in process of forming a new group for transgenders at 6:00 pm at The Mixx/Metro Grille, 115 N. Hamilton St. in Saginaw.

The group will be an informal gathering, taking a more 'light-hearted' approach to allow transgenders in the Tri-City area an opportunity to connect with one another for socializing and support. At the initial meeting, we will discuss future meeting days/times.

You are not required to be a member of Perceptions to participate in this group, though we would love to have you join us in carrying out our mission. If you are unable to help financially support our work at this time, we ask at the very least that you please register as a Friend of Perceptions. If you have any questions, contact Rebecca at rebecca@perceptionssv.org. We usually sit at tables away from the booths.  Come in the door on the left side of the building.

Rainbow Book Club: The Rainbow Book Club is a book club dedicated to reading and discussing classic and contemporary lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer literature. Calling all LGBTQA teens: We welcome you to Riot Youth and Queer Space Riot Youth is open to all Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Questioning and Ally teenagers in high school. Riot Youth meets at the Neutral Zone (located on 637 S. Main Street) every other Saturday from 4-6pm at the 1st floor couches by the windows. Riot Youth plans events such as LGBT movie night, Queer Prom, gender bender party and also hosts Queer Space. Queer Space is a chance for LGBT and ally teens to socialize and network. Queer Space is also on SATURDAYS from 4-6pm, the opposite weeks of Riot Youth. Riot Youth is teen driven; all projects are created and implemented by the teens.
